The National Center for Ethics in Health Care is responsible for developing several VHA policies in health care ethics, noted below. In addition, the Center assists other program offices in the development of national VHA policies that have ethical implications.

The Ethics Center collaborated with 13, 10X, 10N, 108, 10A2, 02, 10Q, OMI, and HRA on this Information Letter. It expires on November 30, 2009. At this time there is no published handbook or directive on this subject. However, the Information Letter contains information on several relevant VA resources available to VHA leaders and managers.



The Center regularly publishes Ethics Rx, 1-page bulletins that clarify interpretation of policies for which the Center is responsible and provide succinct, timely, practical guidance on policy questions relating to health care ethics.
