Karen Rasmussen, MD: Chief, Ethics Policy

Karen Rasmussen is a board certified Internal Medicine specialist who was previously a primary care physician at the Portland VA Medical Center. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of California Berkeley and her medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the Oregon Health Sciences University.

She served as the IntegratedEthics Program Officer in Portland and was a member of the Patient Safety Committee and the Coordinated Care Review Board. In the past she has also served as Chairman of the Board for Bridges To Independence, a non-profit social services organization dedicated to serving adults with developmental disabilities.
